Battery disposal
Information on the disposal of old batteries
The following notice is intended for those who use batteries or products with built-in batteries and no longer resell them in the form in which they were delivered (end users):
1. Free return of used batteries
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally obliged to return used batteries to ensure proper disposal. You can dispose of them at a municipal collection point or at a local retailer. As a battery distributor, we are also obligated to take back used batteries. However, our obligation to take back is limited to used batteries of the type that we carry or have carried as new batteries in our product range. You can therefore either return used batteries of the aforementioned type to us with sufficient postage or hand them in free of charge at our shipping warehouse at the address listed in the imprint.
2. Meaning of the battery symbols
Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin (see below). This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. For batteries containing more than 0.0005 percent mercury by mass, more than 0.002 percent cadmium by mass, or more than 0.004 percent lead by mass, the chemical name of the pollutant used is located below the wheeled bin symbol – where "Cd" stands for cadmium, "Pb" for lead, and "Hg" for mercury.

The following features describe the model concept in a fully functional device. For this offer, the above-mentioned defects take precedence.
Recording Concept
The Panasonic DMC-TZ7 is a digital compact camera. The recording lens is designated 1:3.3-4.9/4.1-49.2. The TZ7 features must be distinguished from the specifications for the TZ6/TZ65 in the joint manual.
Operation and Image Composition
Photography and AVCHD-Lite video. Choose the mode suitable for your subject and check the image composition before shooting. The choice of framing and the correct timing of the shot remain crucial even with automatic camera control. For a series of images, it is worth initially determining the framing and recording conditions on a subject. Above all, check whether the desired sharpness and the bright or dark image area suit your composition. This way, you can use the digital image review specifically for the next shot.
Lens and Recording Planning
The permanently built-in lens forms a coordinated system with the camera. With the zoom, you choose the framing, while your camera position determines the perspective. A longer focal length makes camera movements in the image more clearly visible. The actual focal length is to be distinguished from a specification in the small image comparison. The comparison value describes the angle of view relative to a different recording format; it is not an additional focal length of the built-in lens. This allows you to compare different camera concepts more effectively.
Storage and Post-Processing
Recordings are made on SD or SDHC according to the TZ7 instructions. Both the card name and the capacity must be compatible with the model. For video, the required continuous write speed also counts. Back up the recordings before reformatting; a suitable card reader allows for transfer independently of legacy camera software.
Suitable Power Supply
The intended power source is the Panasonic DMW-BCG10E. For charging, you need a solution suitable for the exact battery model. Identical brand names or similar dimensions are not sufficient for identification. For longer recording sessions, plan the power requirements and storage capacity together.
